Who we are

We are a group of professional radio frequency technicians, we have been broadcasting packets since the early 1980's prior to the advent of the internet. Only in recent years (2005+) has the technology advanced to the point where equipment is affordable for smaller internet service providers to activate many off site locations at affordable rates that were and most remain non accessible to mainstream fiber and coax connections.

How does our system work?

We procure our internet feed at high capacities from multiple major suppliers directly from the island of Montreal & US.

Our strategically located towers re-broadcast the feed to our sub stations in your general area. From your home or office locations we beam on to this signal and provide you the end user with the original signal from our data center. All connections between our hubs and subscribers are narrow band & point to point.

Belair Technologies maintains the control of all access points and subscriber radios to ensure 100% support and 24/7 monitoring of our entire network.

How safe is it for me to transact on the internet wile being on a wireless connection?

All of our signal from the point of origin and to your pc are fully encrypted with the latest encryption technologies available on the market. We at Prometheus Communications understand your concern and we have strict internal protocols and keep a vigilant monitoring on our entire network on a 24/7/365 basis. Electronic watch dogs are on duty 24/7 monitoring all traffic for unauthorized or suspicious connection attempts, our network monitoring associates receive notices on their communicators and knock off any hacking attempts. As far as we are concerned our network is as safe if nor safer then any alternative wired connection.

I want an email address, how to set up?

We will only supply you with an email address upon request (up to 5 addresses for residential accounts, unlimited for commercial accounts). Upon the initial activation of your account you may fill in the supplied email request form our installation crew will provide this form prior installing our antennas to your home/business. You will receive your email address (yourname@radioquebec.net) along with a auto-configuration file (down loadable). You will simply (double click) the said file and your email account will automatically be setup and ready to use. You will also have the ability to log in to your email account and change your password (we supply a pc generated password) you will also be able to customize your email account with your desired parameters and filters.


What about the ftp storage connection?

Upon request we will allocate space on our servers (up to 1GB) for you to store files outside your physical location for security reasons. You will have the ability to upload, download, delete, re-name etc. If you require a larger storage capacity this option is available.


What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit / debit cards on line and by telephone we also accept personal cheques and paypal.

Your billing cycle?

Each cycle is a period of 3 months, we request 3 months (prepaid) if you are not able to pay up front for 3 months we also have monthly billing cycles (credit card only).


What about the equipment?

All equipment is customized to only operate on our network therefore all equipment remains our property for the duration of your subscription, upon cancellation our crew will recover all equipment. If there are any defect during your subscription period we will replace same at no charge to you.

Can I unsubscribe during winter and keep the equipment so I can re-activate in spring ?

Yes you can provided you pre-pay for the first three months of the re-activation period, you may also pay only $9.95 per month for the unsubscribed period and keep the installation intact.

I want to upgrade my account to a higher plan how do I do it?

Simply email or call us we will update your account in just a few seconds, billing will reflect same at the said date.

If I need super speed for a temp period of time can I have that?

Our system is balanced to deliver our advertised speeds we may offer you up to 10-15MB as a maximum temp speed ( for a residential connection ) depending on your location. We are able to supply you with any speed if you desire with additional equipment and installation fees.

How many computer can I connect to my router?

The more PC's you share on a single account the slower your connection will be provided that all PC's are using the internet at the same time. Most of our clients use 1 to 3 computers.
